Life of a Chef
Tried exhausted with eyes heavy due to lack of sleep I sit here on the tram at 11pm going back home after a 12hour shift with a can of soft drink and a packet of cookies in my hand with tear in my eyes cause my feet are hurting that bad I wonder why do people like me decide to become a chef. It’s not the glitz and glamour that pulls us to this field. It’s the love hate relation with food. Crazy hours unthinkable shifts sleepless nights ….cuts and bruises are the medals we wear, we whine we complain yet we love our Job and it’s the madness,that passion to create magic on a plate that keeps us going.
The pleasure of feeding others, happy customers are the strength which keeps pushing us and doing better everyday.
We love the madness, it works as an adrenaline and what can be better to follow your passion. That’s the drive that makes us chefs.
I’m proud to say I’m a chef and I love my job.
